Who are MSI Mystery Shoppers?

MSI conducts mystery shop visits in cities in Indonesia. During such visits, mystery shoppers pose as average customers and provide feedback on their experiences. Clients use this feedback to make improvements in sales and service and to reward employees for jobs well done.

Our client base is diverse, including banks and telecommunication companies. Thus, our shopper based is also diverse. Shoppers are independent contractors, most of who are employed full-time elsewhere in fields ranging from accounting to zoology.

MSI shoppers report on observable behaviors and conditions. Because they remain anonymous, shoppers can do what the managers can't because they receive unbiased treatment, and thus can give accurate, objective feedback on service quality.

The shoppers are not employees of MSI and are not obligated to accept MSI shopping assignments. This leads to willing participation and reduced bias.

Shoppers apply to MSI via a shopper profile form. Shoppers are asked a series of questions to determine their background and capability to report fairly. Their ability to communicate via surveys is assessed prior to acceptance by MSI to be a mystery shopper.

MSI continually recruits shoppers to replace those lost to natural attrition, bias or poor performance in reporting on their visits. To recruit new shoppers, MSI seeks referrals from its experienced shoppers.
